LIANGSHAN, China, Oct. 14 - Two Shacman F3000 dump trucks left the Liangshan Dashayu International Trade Co. yard this week, bound for Côte d'Ivoire. The trucks were loaded onto a lowbed trailer on October 14 and will be trucked to Qingdao port before sailing to Abidjan.

The buyer is a fleet operator based in Abidjan. He previously purchased two Howo tractor units from Dashayu about three years ago, according to the sales team handling the account.

"He specifically asked for the F3000 this time," said a sales manager at the company. "He told us his mechanics already know the Weichai engine and the Fast gearbox from the Howos he runs. He didn't want to bring in something new that would require a different parts supply."

The F3000 units shipped this week are 6×4 dump trucks with Weichai WD615 engines. The model has been widely exported to African markets since the early 2010s, partly because the mechanical layout is familiar to local workshops and parts are easy to source.

Dashayu, based in Liangshan County, Jining, Shandong, has been in the truck export business since 2016. Its product range covers dump trucks, tractor heads, fuel tank trucks, concrete mixers, semi-trailers and used construction equipment, mostly shipped to West Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

The voyage from Qingdao to Abidjan takes roughly five weeks. Once the trucks arrive, they will be put to work on local road and earth-moving projects.
